Aline, of Cedar City; two sons and five daughters: Mrs. Walter (Verda) Baggett of Petaluma, Calif., William Bevan, Mrs. Preston ELIAS WOOD LEIGH, 86, died March 4, 1981, at his home in Cedar City. He was born March 16, 1894, in Cedar City to William David and Elizabeth Wood Leigh. He married Aline Walker -July 7, 1921, ; in Cedar City. Elias attended the Cedar City schools until he was old enough to help his father on their cattle ranch. He was a veteran of World War I, where he served in the U. S. Army. He was a member of the LDS Church and the American Legion. He raised Appaloosa show horses and took (Ramona) Corry and Edwin Elias all of Cedar City, Mrs. Joseph (Bonnie) Kelly of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. . Grant (Nyla June) : Proctor of Boulder City, Nev. and Mrs. Charles B. (Thelma) Butters of Salt Lake City. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Cedar Thirteenth L.D.S. Ward Chapel. Interment was in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of the Spilsbury and Graff 1 Mortuary. " |
