Show Society seeking history buffs w The Utah State Historical Society is holding its annual membership drive for anyone with an interest in Utah history, research, preservation, archaeology ar-chaeology or paleontology. paleon-tology. The Historical Society is anxious to introduce people to the many benefits of Society membership and is offering of-fering complimentary copies of "Utah Historical Quarterly" to anyone inquiring about the Society. Each year Society members receive four issues of "Utah Historical Quarterly," a well-illustrated, readable , state history journal; the annual issue of "Beehive History," a colorful magazine for young people; invitations to Society events, such as the annual Statehood Day celebration and regularly scheduled historical lectures; a bimonthly newsletter with articles on upcoming events and services available to members; and discounts on many of the books published by the Historical Society. Membership in the Utah State Historical Society is open to everyone. Annual dues are only $10 for an individual in-dividual or family, and discounts are available for senior citizens and students. |
