Show Auxiliary Hears Plans For Yearly Program Fall activity for the American Auxiliary, Unit 64, commenced Wednesday, Sept. 14, when members mem-bers convened at the Legion Hall to discuss the yearly program and assist in selecting the many chairmen chair-men to carry on the year's work. Presiding at the meeting was Fay Yack, president. A membership round-up during the evening indicated that more than half of the membership quota has been reached. The Auxiliary performs many worthwhile service projects during the year, some of which are: Child Welfare, Fostering and Perpetuating Perpetu-ating Americanism, Rehabilitation of Veterans, Assisting financially with scholarships of education for Veterans' children, Performing service ser-vice in and for the Veterans' Hospital. Hos-pital. Conducting the Annual Poppy Pop-py Sale to Raise Funds for Veterans Vet-erans and Child Welfare. A new member, Mrs. Francis Pitcher was welcomed into the organization. Light refreshments were served at the close of the meeting by Mrs. Yack and Fern MiUigan, vice-president. vice-president. Auxiliary members from Roosevelt Roose-velt attending the district convention conven-tion at Myton, Sunday, included Irma Sutteer, Tina Wilkins, Fay Yack, Teresa Harmston, Clista Angus, An-gus, Ruth Sturgeon, Georgiana Costuros and Fern Milligan. |
