Show Violet Gentry Bertha Angus . ENTERTAINS CLUB Mrs. Olive Sorensen entertained her club Thursday afternoon. A very interesting afternoon was spent and dainty refreshments served to the following members: Mrs. Gladys Dart. Mrs. Sarah Bro-kaw, Bro-kaw, Mrs. Myrtle Nelson, Mrs. Edith Gentry, Mrs. Bernice Haue-ter Haue-ter and Mrs. Lucy Edwards. Club guests were Mrs. Dean Washburn of Ioka and Mrs. Dick Fausett of Upalco. i Ioka congratulates Mrs. Owen Burgess of Myton for her appointment appoint-ment as acting elementary school supervisor for Duchesne County School District. Mrs. Burgess was one of Ioka's outstanding teachers. Mrs. Golden Butterfiel'd and little daughter, of Herrin, Utah, spent Wednesday with Mrs. O. A. Dart. Mrs. Myrtle Nelsen, of Upalco, was a luncheon guest of Mrs. Tom Gentry, Thursday. Mrs. Marsh Donagan and daughters, daugh-ters, Juanita and VaLee, attended the Hancock reunion at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hancock, of the Cove, Sunday of last week. Mrs. Edna Hartman, of Mt. Emmons, Em-mons, was visiting at the home of her brother, Bishop James Lemon, Thursday. Tom Sweatman, of Vernal, called call-ed on Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Gentry Monday of last week. Mrs. Senor Mortensen and Mrs. Jack Neilsen attended the Utah State Fair last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Ames and family returned to their home in Ioka, after several months stay in Salt Lake City. Visitors at the Jack Spencer home the past week were Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Hancock and daughter, Sandy, Paul Mully, Ike Hancock and Mr. Simmons, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Gerald Shelton and son, Ike, of Roosevelt, and Mr. and Mrs. Arch Price, of Roosevelt. Roos-evelt. No Sunday meetings were held in the ward Sunday, so all could attend quarterly conference in Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Percival motored mo-tored to Moab, Friday, to attend the foobtall game between-Union and Moab High. ,Mr. and Mrs. Barth Stone and small son, of Salt Lake City, were weekend guests of the Garrett Stones. |
