Junior Baseball trophies were presented to the Altonah baseball team that won the American Legion Leg-ion baseball tournament in the Uintah Basin. Mrs. Ross Iorg introduced in-troduced the members of the team and gave an interesting account of organizing the team and of their uphill climb to the championship. The Legion and Auxiliary separated sep-arated for their business sessions and later in the afternoon enjoyed a delicious banquet prepared by the ladies of the Auxiliary and many willing helpers. A program was prepared by Wm. R. Sands Post and Unit who were hosts at the convention: vocal solo, Lowell Low-ell Babcock, accompanied by Mrs. 0. A. Dart; tap dance, Tommy Gardner, accompanied by his mother, moth-er, Mrs. Eldon Gardner; reading, Mrs. H. C. Cooper; tap dance, Doris Ann Brummett; vocal duet, ! Beth and Ralph Dart, accompanied by Mrs. 0. A. Dart; vocal solo, ? Mrs. Eldon Gardner. Mr. and Mrs. Max Peatross and i baby were weekend visitors at the homes of their mothers, Mrs. Erma Harris and Mrs. Lydia Peatross. Peat-ross. They returned to Salt Lake , City, Sunday, accompanied by Mr. Peatross' mother, who has been in ill health for some time.She will convalesce at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carlos Roberts, in Provo. Mrs. Bliss Lott entertained Friday Fri-day afternoon at a dessert luncheon lunch-eon with the following guests present pres-ent Mrs. W. H. Linck, Mrs. Rex Lamb, Mrs. P. E. Church, Mrs. Floyd Lamb, Mrs. Homer Robinson, Robin-son, Mrs. James Dalgleish, Mrs. Wesley Jenson, Miss Alice Todd, Mrs. H. K. Palmer and Mrs. Wilbur wall Bridge was the afternoon's Version, with high score prize awarded to Mrs. Robinson. |
