Show October 13 Set To Start Boy Scout Fund Drive October 13 has been set as the date when the 1955-56 Roosevelt District Boy Scout finance drive will be kicked-off, according to Finance Chairman Ted Olpin. Mr. Olpin announces the district quota of the Utah National Parks Council budget for the new Scout year is $2200. This is a 10 increase in-crease over last year. In spite of the fact that our district dis-trict quoto is larger than it was in 1950, Mr. Olpin explains that for the five year period the operating oper-ating expenses of the Council are up 33, unit organization is up 33, yet the number of boys served ser-ved is up 49. This means the Council is operating on less cost per boy than five years ago. Roosevelt District was the first of the four Uintah Basin Districts to complete their drive last year. Plans this year include the slogan, slo-gan, "Give Until It Feels Good," and all campaign workers will be asked to make every effort to complete the drive in one week's time. Method of conducting this year's drive, concluded Mr. Olpin, will be very similar to last year. |
