Show Baseball League To Open on Decoration Dec-oration Day At a meeting of representatives of the new Timpanogos baseball league at Pleasant Grove Wednesday Wednes-day evening it was decided to open the 1934 season on Decoration Day with the first league game. Representatives Repre-sentatives from Lehi, American Fork, Pleasant Grove, Orem and Provo were in attendance. The definite schedule is to be drawn by Secretary Nelson and other league detail matters worked out in the next ten days. Tire league adopted the spulding ball for the league. A ruling was made that home material will be used on the teams and only players not on any roster at the beginning of the season sea-son will be eligible in the league. The American Fork team will be piloted by Grant Ingersoll and Leo Nelson, with Bert Chris tensen acting act-ing as business manager. Practicing Practic-ing has already commenced and the outlook for a snappy team of young players here is very good. |
