Show i " Baseball League Formed Here A group of representative baseball fans met in Dr. C. O. Jensen's office Wednesday evening to complete the organizing of a baseball league known as the Timpanogos Baseball League. Representatives from other towns were Grant Ingersoll, American Ameri-can Fork; Thomas Powers, Lehi; Ray Gillman, Orem; Nello Westover, Provo, and Lyean Johnson of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove. There were also about 20 representative officers of the five cities present. The Spaulding ball was accepted as the official ball. By-laws for the organization were corrected and tentatively accepted. A schedule was drawn up for the league and will be fitted to the convenience con-venience of the five teams by secretary, secre-tary, Leo Nelson, of American Fork. The sponsors for the Pleasant Grove team are Lyean Johnson, Dr. C. O. Jensen, George L. Smith and C. J. Cobbley. A free practice game will be given at the new ball park diamond Friday, at 5 p. m. All are invited to enjoy the sport. |
