Show Elaine Adams to serve LDS Mission 4, 1944. Their children are: Mrs. Kelly Hughes, Mesquite, Nev.; Dan Harris, Salt Lake City ; Chauncey S. Elaine Adams will leave Saturday to work in the LDS Mission Home in Billing, Mont. The call came from the newly-appointed Mission President, Joseph M. Milne of St. George. He and is wife, Ava, are long-time friends of Sister Adams. Her special assignment will be to prepare the meals for those living at the mission home, but she will also be given appointments to work with the lady missionaries. Sister Adams was born in Hurricane, a daughter of Chauncey and Josephine Sandberg. She is a graduate of Utah State University with a degree in Home Economics. She taught at Hurricane High School for three years then married H. LeRay Adams of Parowan in the St. George Temple Nov. Adams, Provo; Alan and Alma Adams, Parowan and Mrs. Lee Pace, Cedar City. She is the proud grandmother grand-mother of 12 grandsons and 3 granddaughters. She has served as counselor coun-selor in the Stake Primary, Stake and Ward Inservice Leader, Junior Sunday School Coordinator, President of the Young Women's Mutual, Class Leader, Secretary and Visiting Teacher in Relief Society, a teacher in Primary and Sunday School. She has also served as High School PTA president and held several offices in the American Legion Auxiliary. She and members of her family presented the Sacrament Service at the Parowan Second Ward Sunday FIAINE ADAMS |
