Show Workshop to Study Escalante Trail returning to Santa Fe on Jan. 2. 1777. The National Park Service was directed by Congress to study this trail in cooperation with federal, state and local governmental govern-mental agencies, private organizations and individuals. in-dividuals. The public workshops will provide information on study findings to date with the majority of time set aside for participants working in small groups to discuss what type of development, use and management should he considered lor the trail. a woi'Ksnop to discuss the possible inclusion of the Dominquez-Escalante Trail as a component of the National Trails System will be held at Southern Utah State College on June 19. 7:30 p.m. by the National Park Service. The meeting will be in Room 113 at the Industrial Educaiton Building. The Oominguez-Escalante Trail is the route taken hy two Franciscan Friars, Francisco Atanasio Dominguez and Silvestre Veloz de Escalante. on an exploration expedition for Spain.
