Show EMT Leaves Hospital -Attends Graduate School For the past two years, Mr. Gadegaard (also a Los Angeles County trained paramedic) has served as Manager of the Iron County Ambulance Service. Members of the Iron County Commission, Physicians of the Valley View Medical Staff, and the ad- . ministration of the Valley Veiw Medical Center, wish to thank him for the service he has rendered to the people of Iron County. The skill with which he has organized and supervised personnel, proposed and received additional certified training courses for all personnel, acquired and Maintained quality emergency medical care equipment, has impacted the standard of emergency care possible in Iron County tremendously. In addition, he initiated plans for, and received, grant funding for advanced life support training (the positions of EMT 4) which will begin this Sept. through Southern Utah State College. Attached to this training is a state and federal committment com-mittment for $40,000 worth of advanced life support equipment for the hospital and the ambulance vehicles, bringing the total worth of this grant to nearly $100,000. Steven B. Gadegaard Steven R. Gadegaard has graduated from Southern Utah State College with honors, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. Mr. Gadegaard will continue his study of political science at the University of Wyoming, obtaining a master's degree while working for the University in a teaching assistantship capacity. These studies are preparatory to his pursuit of a law degree, also at the University of Wyoming, which is his ultimate career goal. |
