Ralph and Marie Lewis a and sons, Warren and Bradley drove to Beaver, picked up their daughter Monty Cartwright, they all went to Richfield where Warren and Bradley participated in the "Mini Moto-cross r race of the 80 cc size motor cycles. Bradley , was in the race for ages 7 to 16 and took fourth place. Warren 'n the 16 on up and brought home a first place trophy. Congratulations to the two boys for the fine job they did. Mrs. LaRue Adams and daughter from Rosemead, Calif, are here spending two weeks with her aunt and uncle, Heram and Spencer Truman. Miss Robin Rose from Las Vegas is here spending (he summer with her grandparents, grand-parents, Ross and Opal Williams. The High Priest and their partners had a dinner and program at the Ward Cultural Hall Friday under the direction of Bert East- man .and Jesse Prisby. Everyone enjoyed a ham and barbecued rib dinner with all the trimmings. Visiting with Lynn and Ella Reeves this past week was their sons and family, Boyd Reeves family from St. George and the Devon Reeves family from Cedar City. Their nieces Evelyn Gillis from Beaver and Olive and Elmer Matheson Cedar City. Dick and Lorraine Fife and girls from Las Vegas spent the afternoon visiting with their aunt and uncle Carina and Chester Williams, also visiting the Williams was Carma's sister, Marva Prince of New Harmony and her daughter Deanna Groke and sons Kevin and Steven from Enid, Okla. Leonard and Verna Davis enjoyed a visit with their sister-in-law and Niece Virginia Piatt from Cedar and Mrs. Colleen Ferguson and children form Palm Springs, Calif. Michael and Hanna Galibraith and family from Layton spent a short time here with their mother, Gwen Davis. Then they went ot Henderson to a Galibraith reunion. Don and Susan Cosney and daughter Stephanie left Friday evening for Calif, to visit relatives and friends and to get their daughter Seandra to spend a month here with them. |
