In a spectacular accident on the Saltair highway, a car reportedly driven by Arthur Garner, 21, Tooele, ran 105 feet on the the shoulder of the road, 169 feet In the borrow pit, shot up over a three-foot embank-- embank-- ment, clearing a 12-foot crossroad, and landed on its top 2 feet farther after turning over in midair, according ac-cording to the report by Deputy Sheriff J. L. Hyland. Garner was treated at the police emergency hospital for fracture of the right Jaw and face, cuts and bruises, then removed to Holy Cross hospital. Officers said a charge probably would be filed upon his release re-lease from the hospital. Southworth, who Farmer Injured In Hayrack Crash (Special to The Telegram) TREMONTON, Aug. 6 Peter Nichols, 62, farmer of Bothwell, aix miles west of here, was being taken to the L, D. S. hospital in Salt Laks City Friday after being injured in a runaway near his home thie morning. Nichols was riding a load of hay when his team became frightened and bolted, overturning the hayrack hay-rack Into a ditch and pinning 'the farmer underneath. His skull was badly crushed and, after first aid treatment at the hospital hos-pital here, physicians ordered him moved to the Salt Lake City hospital hos-pital for treatment for gangrene.
