A. shoot Saturday and Sunday Sun-day in Ogden. : Ogden Attracts Crack Shooters Special to The Telegram OGDE.V, Aug. 6 Three trap-shooters, trap-shooters, two from Salt Lake City and on from Ogden, will defend titles in the American Trapshooting Trapshoot-ing association atate tournament here Saturday and Sunday. Gus Becker, veteran Junction city marksman, defends his all-round all-round and handicap A. T. A. title; Dean Hurd of Salt Lake City, the singles title, and H. Barr Carlisle, also of Salt Lake City, the doubles crown. In addition to Utah's best shooters, shoot-ers, entrants are expected from Idaho. Ida-ho. Wyoming. Nevada, California and Washington, according to Mr. Becker, president of the local gun club. The traps were opened Friday morning for pfectice. The opening event is planned Saturday morning at o'clock with a SO-toird trouble trophy shoot. The first 100 claya of the 200-bird singles begins at 10 o'clock. Shooting for the double trophy will be conducted during the afternoon, after-noon, the event to consist of SO pairs. The final 100 singles targets begins Sunday at 10 a. m., with the afternoon feature a 100-bird handicap. |
