Flegge, 27, of 255 East Second South street, was in "very critical" criti-cal" condition in the L D. S. hospitaT The officers quoted Croroy as saying Mrs. Flegge, in a huff, fled down the stairs and that the others wsre unable to find her outside. The Careys were taken home and as Flegge and Croroy reared the Flegge home they found Mrs. Flegge afoot. Croroy aat with the couple In front of the Flegge home about half an hour, the officers ssid they were told, then left for home while the Flegges were quarreling. Mrs. Flegge was treated at the police emergency hospital and as soon as her condition permitted was removed to the L D. 8. hospital xne woman was laaen lo me emergency hospital at 3:43 a. m , Friday by her husband, R. W. Flegge, 33, operator of the Green Dale inn. Second East and First South streets. Traffic Investigator O. M. Hopkins reported that Flegge said he and hie wife had been quarreling quar-reling after drinking and that she had jumped from the machine. He was unable, however, to lead officers offi-cers to ths place where the woman left the machine. Police held Flegge several hours Friday for questioning then released him "on recognisance while they continued to inveatigste the case. Traffic Investigator F. C Sanford and Detective Lester F. Wire said they learned that the Flegges, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Carey of 644 East First South street and Mae Croroy of 270 East Second South street had been to Lagoon and returned to an upstairs resort on West First South street. |
