OCR Text	Show RAIN DAMPENS S. L; HEAT WAVE BREAKS Going beyond the weather bureau prediction of "unsettled conditions," light rain began falling In Salt Lake City shortly before noon Friday. Welcoming a respite from summer heat, many Salt Lakers gave no thought to protection from the wet. The storm, reported to be fairly general over northern Utah areas, continued the downward trend in temperatures started by cloudy skies earlier Friday. The weather bureau thermometer registered only 81 degrees at 11 a. en, as against 89 at that hour Thursday, and with the rain temperatures tem-peratures dropped still lowsr. Continuation of cooler conditions is expected through Friday night and Saturday. Light rain fell In eastern Utah Thursday.
