Show E. Penn Smith Reports Signing Of Lease With General Dredging Company E. Penn Smith, lease agent for the North Lake Mead Gold Mining Min-ing Co. reports completion over the week end of a lease and contract con-tract to the General Dredging company of Placerville, Calif. This lease has been anticipated for some time, according to Mr. Smith, with the thought that placer mining would bring results in the Grand Wash claims that are under this contract. Grand Wash, in Mohave county, has been poorly accessible until recently, but with the Placerville company moving in. hope is held for material development in the near future. With the road by land recentlv completed to this section by the CCC contingents. and the water route made possible pos-sible in the development of Lake Mead, Grand Wash should witness rapid growth say those who know this property. The highway goes into Grand Wash over the old Riverside, Nev. route, but it is possible to run boats on the Lake to the very edge of the property. It is stated this will not only facilitate the moving of the company's com-pany's heavy dredging equipment, but will aid in shipping out the returns. Glenn Roscoe is now on the property representing the Placer- ville company and it is anticipated t the placer equipment will begin to arrive shortly, according to Mr. I Smith. |
