Show Springdale Mrs. Jay Crawford Reporter Venice Excell, Donna Crawford and Mabel Gifford graduated from Seminary. Several from here attended the I party held at Hurricane Monday evening honoring Frank Barber. The Mother's Day program in our Sunday school was very good. Each mother was presented with a little booklet. The genealogical society sponsored spon-sored a banquet and dance Fri-! Fri-! day evening, the proceeds to go to the stake Temple cottage. A large crowd attended. Mrs. Lucy Schiefer is at the J Kanab hospital receiving medical treatment. 1 Carl Devon Hardy entertained a group of his little friends at a i birthday party. He was five years old. The sixth, seventh and eighth grades held a class party Friday evening. Tuesday evening the first five ' grades, under the direction of , Mr. Larson, Miss Bradshaw and I Miss Hopkins, presented the opera, "The Giant's Garden". The children certainly did well and are to be complimented on the splendid performance. Mrs. Nancy ; Crawford and Mrs. Von Robertson helped a great deal also. We feel 1 that we are very lucky to have the leaders we have and for the ! teachers we have had this year. After the program the last i P.-T.A. meeting was held. A j short program was given and each 1 teacher was presented with a little token of appreciation. Also Mrs. Davis was given a little gift. Lunch was served. J Mrs. Edna Strunk gave a lec-I lec-I ture and showed slides on health j and nutrition in our relief society : meeting Tuesday. After the lec-I lec-I ture she cooked and served a 1 health dinner. It was enjoyed and I appreciated by all who attended. |
