Thurman, chairman of tho First ward, called the convention to order at 10:25 n.ui., and nurnod at temporary chairman D. D. Iloutz, as temporary secretary Grant C. Bagley. Mr. Iloutz responded with a happy speech, acknowledging tho honor and predicting victory for tho Utah county Democracy. Ho also referred to ttio absenco of County Chairman A. D. Gash, and instructed tho secretary to read a lotter from Mr. Gash. Tho letter from tho cx-chalrman. which also contained a report ot the financial condition of tho party to date, was re-colved re-colved with enthusiasm. The report showed tho county Democracy practically practi-cally out of debt. Win.
