Show Delays in filing SS claims could be costly Don Donaldson, manager of the Provo Social Security Office, Of-fice, announced today that some disabled people in this area may be delaying payment pay-ment on their claims, and even ev-en losing money by failing to contact the social security office of-fice soon after their disability begins. Although there is a 6-month waiting period for which no benefits can ibe paid, the disabled dis-abled person should file a claim early. In many cases all work on th claim can be completed before the end of the 6-month waiting period.
