Show National Forest Timber For Sale Sealed bids will be received by the Forest Supervisor, Vernal, Ver-nal, Utah, up to and including June 30, 1954, for all merchantable merchan-table dead timber and all live timber marked or designated for cutting in Sections 17, 18,19, and 20, T. 3 N., R. 1 W., U. S. Meridian, Farm Creek Chance No. 4, Farm Creek Compartment, Compart-ment, Whiterocks Working Circle, Cir-cle, Ashley National Forest, estimated es-timated to be 399,000 ft. b.m. more or less of Lodgepole pine sawtimber, 87,000 ft. b.m. more or less of Engleman spruce sawtimber, and 81,000 lin, ft. more or less of Lodgepole pine mine prop material. No bid of less than $30 per M feet board measure for Lodgepole pine and Engleman spruce sawtimber, saw-timber, and $5.05 per M lin. feet for Lodgepole pine mine props will be considered. In addition ad-dition to making payments for 1 stumpage, the purchaser will be required to make an additional addi-tional deposit ' of $0.80 per M feet b.m: for sawtimber and $0.80 per M lin. ft. for prop material to' be deposited into a cooperative work fund to pay the cost of timber stand improvement im-provement work, and $0.25 per M feet b.m. for sawtimber and $0.25 per M lin. ft. for prop material to be deposited into a cooperative work fund to pay the cost of slash disposal work. Each bidder who has not previously pre-viously operated on the Ashley National Forest must submit a financial statement with his bid, showing possession or availability availa-bility of logging equipment, cash or resources sufficient in the judgment of the awarding officer to carry out the terms of the timber sale agreement. A deposit of $400.00 made payable to the Treasurer of the United States must accompany each bid, to be applied on the purchase pur-chase price, refunded or retained re-tained in part as liquidated damages, according to conditions condi-tions of the sale. The right to reject any and all bids is reserved. re-served. Before bids are submitted, sub-mitted, full information concerning con-cerning the sale can be obtained from the Forest Supervisor at Vernal, Utah.
