Show Legion Groups Cite Students The American Legion and Auxiliary, Wm. R. Sands Post and Unit No. 5, made presentations presen-tations at an assembly at the Myton Elementary School Tuesday, Tues-day, May 18, at 11 a.m. The Legion presented medals to' the two outstanding students of the 6th grade as Commander Milton Lott extended greetings and medals to Sarah Meyer and Douglas Murphy. Mrs. Paul Felter, president-elect of the Auxiliary, presented awards for the three best poppy poster to Kay Warr, LaVon Edwards and Helen Felter. Milton Nielson, principal of the school, advised the assembly that six boys in the school had a perfect attendance atten-dance during the entire school year. These boys were scheduled sched-uled for a treat by. the Legion. A large crowd attended the program and presentations. ON VACATION Mr. and Mrs. Dillard Swan left Saturday for San Luis Obispo, Calif., on a six weeks vacation. While there they will visit their daughter and son-in-law and family. Mr. Swan is supervisor at the Pumping Plant on the Rangely-Salt Lake Pipe Line. During his absence Carl Stephens will take over his duties and Vaughn Brown has been sent from the Hanna Pumping Station to assist here. Mr. and Mrs. Brown will reside re-side in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Swan while stationed here. Mrs. W. C. Hancock is a visitor vis-itor at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. (Late For Lasl Week) |
