Show LeetoiLvBeiunet Mrs. Fern Houston Mrs. Doris Haslem, Francis Bowen, Delma Long, Fawn Col-tharp Col-tharp and Norma Bowen attended attend-ed the Federated Womans Republican Re-publican Club at Vernal Monday Mon-day evening. Mrs. Bowen gave a book review on "The Voice of Asia", which was considered excellent. On June 1st at the Roosevelt Stake House there will be a class in making of lampshades. Do not take any materials, there will be instructions ample for making any kind of a shade. Miss Bertha Bolton left by bus Thursday for Salt Lake where she will be employed for the summer. The literature lesson at Relief Society Tuesday, was given by Delma Long. It was a; book review re-view on "Jane Ayre" by Char-lottee Char-lottee Bronte, and was the last lesson this summer. The family of W. H. Coltharp was called to his bed-side Thursday. Thurs-day. He suffered a stroke, and at this time there is very little change in his condition. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nichols of Rangely, Colo, came to Hay-den Hay-den and took the children of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Coltharp back with them, as Mrs. Coltharp Col-tharp is a graduate nurse and will be able to devote more time to the caring for W. H. Coltharp. Mrs. Ned Coltharp is also helping help-ing care for him. RAINED OUT The baseball game played at Bennett, with Avalon Saturday, was called at the end of 6 and i ixiii" mim one half innings on account of rain, the score stood at 6 to 1 in Bennett's favor. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Miller of Springville came out to see the Union High School graduation; , they visited at the home of Delma Long over the weekend. From Bennett we had Lowell D. Long, Gary Hall, Kenneth Phillips and Earl Murphy graduated grad-uated from Union. At Alterra Elementary school the 8th grade put on a formal tea party, for the mothers with lace cloth and flowers and the program was very fine. The girls wore formals and looked beautiful.
