Show -Arcadia Mrs. Elsie Bird Water Heater In Home Blows Up Mr. and Mrs. Marvin G. Shields had a narrow escape on Wednesday, May 20, when their coal range and water heater heat-er .blew up. The top of the stove was blown to pieces, throwing hot water all' over the house. 'No one was hurt. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Snow, of Mt. Emmons; Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Evans, of Bountiful, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chad Evans on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. S. O. Solmon-son Solmon-son and Mrs. Louise Solmonson and Ha, of Roosevelt, visited Thursday at the borne of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird. Mr. and Mrs. LeGrand Gilbert Gil-bert visited Sunday at the home of LeGrand's mother, Mrs. Rose Gilbert, in Myton. Bishop Garn Gilbert was taken tak-en to the Roosevelt Hospital May 20, where he received medical med-ical treatment. He was able to return home Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Holfetz, of Salt Lake City, and daughter, daugh-ter, Carolyn, were overnight guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ross. Mrs. Holfetz is Mr. Ross' sister. FIVE GRADUATE Those who graduated from Union High were Warden Olsen, Stanley .Keller, Donna Larsen, Cleo Holgate and Donna Ross. ' Mr. and Mrs. Grant Peel ,and girls, of Tabiona, visited Sunday Sun-day at the home of Mrs. Peel's ' parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Lusty. Mrs. Hale Holgate visited Sunday at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Emery Nielson in Myton. My-ton. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Had-den, Had-den, of Myton, visited Sunday at the home of Mrs. Hadden's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James O. Larsen. Those who attended visiting teachers Relief Society convention conven-tion at Duchesne were: Gladys Ross, Golda Jensen, Verna Lusty, Lus-ty, Cecilia Gilbert, Ora Holgate. Nona Holgate, Lois Terpening, Elsie Bird, Norma Hansen, Margaret Mar-garet Ross, Marion Shields and Barbara Gilbert. Superintendent of the stake Sunday School, Walter Williams and Mrs. Eva Koyen attended Sunday School here Sunday. Steel Lusty, of Tooele, spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Lusty. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird visited vis-ited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wanless Shields in Bridgeland. |
