Show Diehard L Evans To Address University Grads Richard L. Evans, member of the Council of the Twelve Apos-' Apos-' ties, of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has aureate sermon at the Univer-been Univer-been chosen to give the Baccal-sity Baccal-sity of Utah on June 6, it was announced this week. The services ser-vices will begin at 7:30 p.m. Elder Evans, who is a member mem-ber of the University's Board of Regents, received two degrees de-grees from the University. He received his bachelor of arts in 1931, and his master's degree the following year. For the past three years, he served as president presi-dent of the University of Utah Alumni Association. Preceding the Baccalaureate sermon, a reception will be held for all graduates and their families, fam-ilies, at the home of President and Mrs. A. Ray Olpin, 1259 East South Temple, from 3 to 6 p.m. 1 - Speaker at the commencement commence-ment evercises on June 7 will be Dr. Raymond B. Allen, provost pro-vost of UCLA, and former president pres-ident of the University of Washington. Wash-ington. Approximately 900 students will receive degrees at the exercises. |
