Show v ttm$ Economics Classes At Ilferra Give Tea The Home Economics girls of the 7th and 8th grades of the Alterra School entertained their mothers at a tea Wednesday, Wednes-day, May 19. The tea table was covered with a rich lace cloth and centered with. an arrangement arrange-ment of orchid iris and pink columbine. Pink tapers in crystal cry-stal candlebra completed the decoration. In the receiving line were: Clara Stolla, Clara Betts, Mar-iann Mar-iann Larsen, Mildred Everett, and Shirley Allred. Refreshments Refresh-ments were under the direction of the 7th grade girls, and serving was directed by the following 8th grade girls:' Judy Brisbin, Brenda Murdock, Joan Claudell, Anita Reed, Joan Gardner, Wendy Pennicoose, Karen Gardner, Mary Lou Sib-lo, Sib-lo, Maxine Jack and Patsy Mc-Kowen. Mc-Kowen. Larraine Long announced the following program: readings, Lonnie Kay Winn and Rose Mary Ashley; accordion solo, Judy Sixkiller; vocal solo. Karen Kar-en Gines, accompanied by Elaine Angus; tap dance, Mary Hullinger; and piano solo, Ger-aldine Ger-aldine Denver. Mothers were presented with pins, having beautiful sets, which the girls had made in school. Mrs. Mary Burgess, Home Economics teacher, Who supervised super-vised the tea arrangements, announced an-nounced that the project selected select-ed by the 7th and 8th grades had been completed, and consisted con-sisted of the purchasing of portable RCA phonograph and radio combination with records for the school. |
