Show No Word Received from Son In Philippines Since December 20, Say Neilsons Lamar H. Neilson, 24, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Neilson of Hurricane, Hur-ricane, is one of the U. S. Army men who were in the Philippine Islands when the Japanese attacked at-tacked on last December. His parents report that they have had no word from him since Dec. 20, when they received a letter which was written Nov. 16th. Mr. Neilson was one of the first to enlist from Hurricane, having signed up with the Coast Artillery on Sept. 28, 1940. The last -letter from him indicated that he was stationed on Corregi-dor Corregi-dor Island and undoubtedly is one of that group who is writing a glorious part in the annuals of U. S. history. Mrs. Neilson states that the famliy has written to him regularly regu-larly and are in hopes that he will receive the letters sometime in the future. |
