Show Over 70 Loads of Gravel Put On Sugar Loaf Road Recreation Areas Nearly Ready for Easter Picnickers, Report Lions With over 70 loads of gravel having hav-ing been hauled and distributed on the Sugar Loaf road last Sunday Sun-day by the St. George Lions club and members of the State Road commission staff, Irvin Milne reports re-ports that the road is rapidly rounding into shape. Work was also done on the two receration areas so that they will be ready for Easter picnickers. Nine drivers with trucks participated partici-pated in the gravel-hauling and everyone is reported as "hitting the ball" to make possible the distributing dis-tributing of this large amount of gravel on the road. Eight tables are reported by Lee Owens as ready to be placed in they recreation areas by this next Sunday. Two more have been sponsored, making a total of 10 to date and with the possibility that at least two more will be sponsored before the work is completed. com-pleted. Through the cooperation of R. M. Reber, manager of the Gaiety theatre, the Lions will share in the proceeds of tickets sold by them to the show to play at that theatre Thursday, Friday and Saturday. This will feature Greta Garbo in, "Two Faced Woman". Tickets may be purchased from any Lion or Lee Owens, Ervin Milne or Ez McArthur, who are in charge of the sales. Members of the road staff who assisted included: Morton Morris, Perry Lang, Marvin Pymm, Arnold Arn-old McArthur, Glen. Reber and Mr. Wilcox. |
