Show CANE BEDS, Ariz. Mrs. A. F. Stout Reporter Arnold Adair is seriously ill at his home in Short Creek. Mr. and Mrs. William G. Leithead went to Hurricane Sunday for a doctor and medicine for Mr. Adair. Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Stout went to Hurricane Saturday attending a birthday party in the evening for Mrs. Stout's brother, Joseph W. Webb. They remained over in Hurricane Sunday and also visited relatives in Toquerville, Sunday afternoon. Miss Dica Perkins and Karl S. Perkins were in Hurricane Wednesday Wed-nesday on business. Mr. and Mrs. Lelwin F. Wilkinson Wilk-inson and baby were visiting Saturday Sat-urday with Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Stout. Andrew Perkins Funeral Funeral services for Andrew H. Perkins were held Friday at the Short Creek school house. Friends and relatives from Short Creek, St. George, Cane Beds, Fredonia, Hurricane and LaVerkin were in attendance. Services were conducted con-ducted by Ernest Allen, presiding elder of Cane Beds. The choir sang, "Rock of Ages", and "Lead Kindly Light", with Annie W. Stout as organist. A quartet, "O My Father", was rendered by Robert Rob-ert Woodbury and company of Hurricane, and a violin solo was given by Miss Stevens of Hurricane, Hurri-cane, and a poem was read, composed com-posed by Mabel Jarvis. Lee Esplin was the main speaker. Robert Woodbury gave scriptural readings. read-ings. Burial was in the Short Creek cemetery. |
