Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Whitney of Logandale, visited in St. George over the week end, as guests of Mrs. Whitney's parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Lund Jr. Mrs. Irwin Johnson took her Center ward Primary girls for a pre-Easter picnic on the Sugar Loaf last Saturday. Mrs. Hal Bracken of Central was a house guest last week of her sister, Mrs. Andrew Schmutz. Mrs. Orpha Lund and Mrs. Lola Bryner were stake Primary visitors vis-itors last Saturday at the Ivins ward Primary conference. Mrs. Margaret Bryner and Mrs. Lottie Reber represented the stake board at the Santa Clara meetings. The entire Hurricane faculty accompanied ac-companied by their partners and special guests, and Miss Phyllis Nisson of Washington honored Miss Tillie Winsor with a surprise sur-prise party at her home Wednesday Wednes-day evening, bringing with them a pot-luck lunch and a gift for Miss Winsor's home, in remembrance remem-brance of her long association with them as county supervisor of elementary school work. ot. .... Jess Easton, operator of the Summit station came in to the hospital March 31st for medical care, following a slight stroke. Tony, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hafen underwent surgery March 31. Clark Blake is also a surgery patient in the local hospital. Gordon Sullivan of this city, and daughter, Mrs. Carl J. Milne, of Huntington Park Calif., arrived ar-rived home this (Thursday) morning. morn-ing. Mr. Sullivan has been employed em-ployed at sheep shearing in California. Cali-fornia. Mrs. Mark Bleak arrived last Saturday from Salt Lake City to visit with her mother, Emmaline J. Cottam and other relatives and attend funeral services of her aunt, Rachel Holt Cottam. She left Tuesday for Las Vegas to spend a few days with her son, Raymond Bleak and family, and will stop over in St. George on her return to Salt Lake. Word was received Saturday by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Riding, of the birth of a son, March 25th, to Mr. and Mrs. Walter M. Riding of Fellows, Calif. Guest since last Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mar-cell Mar-cell Schmutz while attending the "D" Day ceremonies, was Miss Shirley Harper, former college student, now of Ogden. Also visiting vis-iting with them were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Shmutz and baby of Las Vegas. Attorney E. J. Pickett left Monday Mon-day for Salt Lake City accompanied accom-panied by Attorney Andrew Pace and wife and their daughter, Penney Pen-ney Rae. Mrs. Pace and daughter will go on to Preston, Ida., for a ten-day visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Follett. -V- -M- -X- Mrs. Neil Adams left Tuesday for Kanab to visit for several days with relatives. Her husband is stationed with the Medical Corps at Camp Barclay, Texas. .V. .... Mrs. Verl Kelsey motored down from Central Saturday evening to get her three sisters, Lael, Iris and Laurel Woodbury, who will visit with her over Easter. .V. Laub, of Santa Clara, entertained at her home in honor of her husband's birthday birth-day anniversary, Saturday, March 28th. The table was set with Easter decorations. Ernest Pulsipher visited in St. George, Mesquite and Bunkerville over the week end, returning late Sunday to Provo to resume his school work at the B. Y. U. Mrs. James G. Bundy returned last Sunday to Mt. Trumbull to join her husband after spending the week in St. George.
