Show Hospital donation fun reports expenditures Some families and individuals individ-uals prefer to make a donation to a cause, organization or institution in memory of a friend or loved one who has died, and because of this, Allen Memorial Hospital has a separate donation fund. During 1977 a bath tub, a wheelchair and a whirlpool were purchased from donated funds for use by hospital patients. The total amount spent for these items was $2,739.52. Of this $1,915.46 came from the Solarium Fund which still receives donations from time to time. The remaining re-maining came from memorials for Ann Chamberlain, Emma Dalton, Jim R. Stephens and Robert Fine. In addition last year $770 in donated funds was used to buy equipment needed in the Grand County ambulances. In some cases of memorial donations, a family might specify to hospital personnel the items for which they wish to have donations spent. This was the case with Mars Pope memorial funds, which were used to install a viewing window into the nursery. In others, the family gives personnel per-sonnel authority to purchase whatever they feel is needed most. In addition to the memori-ials memori-ials mentioned above, donations dona-tions have been made to the hospital in memory of Edna Ekker Robison, Johnnie G. Johnson, Fred Scheckler, Jack Youvon and Jeff Meador.
