'' ' Grand County High School RODEO By Dana Lance The State High School Rodeo meeting was held in Ogden last Saturday. Advis ors Don Surges and Don Jackson attended the meeting along with members Jay Bohn, Allen Surges, and Dana Lance. The meeting put a lot of emphasis on the control of alcohol and the need to keep it away from the rodeos. The State Finals will be held in i Heber City. Club members ' also found out that Utah has the largest high school rodeo organization in the country. A jackpot rodeo was held after the meeting. Haslam was the producer. He will be putting on the Moab High School Rodeo. The stock was bucking real good. In the bull riding on the second night, there were only 4 qualified rides out of 25 riders. According Ac-cording to club members, it looks like their going to have a real good rodeo. The rodeo will be held April 7 and 8. Admission fees will be children six and under free, twelve and under 11.00, thirteen and up 12.00. This is for advanced tickets. Tickets at the gate will be 1.50 more. The club wants to extend its thanks to Don Surges and Don Jackson for their help in getting to the meeting and all the backing they give the club. |
