Show Scholarships go begging, SUCCE office says As reported by the Southeastern South-eastern Utah Center for Continuing Con-tinuing Education during the past two weeks, two cash scholarships for college work are pesently being offered to young people in the Moab area. Through SUCCE, the Woman's Literary Club is seeking applicants for a $140.50 scholarship to be used during the Succe Spring Quarter (beginning March 27) to pay all fees for a full load of U.S.U. college classes administered admin-istered through SUCCE in Moab. This award is open to anyone, male or female, who is qualified to enroll in at least 10 quarter hours of college work. The second scholarship is being offered by the Woman's Auxiliary of the American Institute of Mining Engineers. This award will be made during the coming Spring Quarter for the use of the winning student beginning Fall Quarter 1978. This is open to current 12th grade students planning a college major in areas related to mining, milling, metallur gy, geology, etc. The amount of the award will be approximately approxi-mately equivalent to resident student fees for two quarters of full time study at Utah State University or the University Uni-versity of Utah or other state schools in Utah. This scholarship scholar-ship will be reserved for . students planning on-campus study. To date, there has been very little interest shown in applying for either of these awards. Qualified students are requested re-quested to stop by the Southeastern South-eastern Utah Center for Continuing Con-tinuing Education office today and pick up application forms for either or both of these scholarships. |
