Show Lehmer Graduates with Honors Valley slipped its moorings and caused the death of four persons. John intends to continue his studies by enrolling in law school this fall. and Ira went to spend the night at the Lehmer's Salt Lake residence to get an early start the next morning to our Temple Square and other points of interest. They arrived just before midnight to find that the residence had been burglarized for the third time since 1971 while the family was in Park City. The thieves relieved th home of over $9,000 worth of jewels, stereo equipment and three Stetson hats. As a graduation present, John's parents took him on a just completed 3 week trip to Las Vegas to visit Grandma Lehmer, Parkite Ken Binatena's father Joe in Fresno, and golfing and deep sea fishing in Palm Springs, San Diego, Mexico and San Jose. The family was visiting Mrs. Lehmer's Leh-mer's cousin in Tahoe City during the storm that was taking place when the cable at nearbv Squaw .. John Lehmer, son of Ray and Mary Lehmer of Deer Valley, returned home last month from Carleton College, Northfield, Minn., after graduating with high honors and earning a bachelor's degree in mathematics. John plans to drive to Northfield in June to receive his diploma and spend two weeks visiting with classmates of his graduating class of '78. Carleton, which has often been referred to as the Harvard of the Midwest, is the school which Mark Dunn, Park City High's only 1978 National Merit scholar, has selected as the college he would most like to attend. John's college roommate, Ira Steigler of Minneapolis, spent his two week spring vacation visiting here with John. After having dinner with the Lehmers in Park City on Tuesday, March 28, John |
