Show Moderate Housing Approved Construction will begin shortly on 40 additional moderate income housing units at the Holiday Village Apartment complex which will relieve some of the employee housing problem experienced this winter. Frank Richards, developer of the 40 moderate income units presently located off Highway 248 East on Monitor Drive received a conditional use permit in 1975 to construct a total of 80 units on the site in two phases of 40 units each. Originally he had planned to go ahead with the second phase of the project last summer but was delayed by the economically depressing ski season. The 40 additional units which will be structurally and architecturally architec-turally similar to the existing units received final site plan approval from the Planning Commission at their decision making session Wednesday, April 26. The project vill consist of ten fourplexes with one and two bedroom units. Rents will be scaled according to the renter's income as a condition of Farmers Home Administration which is providing the low interest funding for the project. According to Frank Richards there are already prospective tenants waiting to move into the units upon their completion this fall. Despite ongoing concern and interest in developing additional lowmoderate housing units in Park City, the 4 acre Holiday Village development remains the only such project either currently existing or in the planning stages. |
