Show Stroller Notices How strange to hear all the pro's and con's of why Gorgoza (Parley's Summit Resort) should not be a year round resort. Seems to me we have heard that song before they came. Not too long ago when the Park City Resort was beginning, We didn't take too well to it then but look at it now. The very people who came in the beginning are the ones who made it what it is now. But now they object they don't want anymore. , Go back a few years which came first? Gorgoza, or all the people who are so opposed to it now. Anyone who has a business doesn't expect to make it on a part time basis. Just as the Park City Resort needs a year round business so does Gorgoza. True the hi-way change set them back a few years or it would all have been done long ago. How could it lower property?' Park City's has increased. How can they syphon the stream? The objectors are at the top. Pollute? What more pollution can there be than already is. The clear fishing stream no longer has fish because of pollution from above. It was planned as a family resort, you know everyone does not ski, but do enjoy other forms of recreation. What could be noisier in the summer, than the hundreds of snowmobiles in the winter on the other side of the Highway. Surely not a few small boats and go-carts. At least we have men over the project that have lived here all their life. They have seen when can be done to ruin the beauty around us. So they more than anyone else would be less apt to destroy it. The year round resort will make more jobs, bring in more revenue, something a residential area won't do. Things could be worse, just imagine what it might have been if it had become the big rail road center that was planned for it in the 1880's. Thank your luck stars its not a factory, sawmill, riding stables or worse. |
