Show Wayne, Christine, and Callah Tharp were weekend visitors at the home of Chris' parents. Chris and Wayne now live in Las Vegas where he was transferred shortly after the first of the year. It was a short quick visit but they enjoyed attending church and seeing the many friends. Dorene, Dale, Don and Denise Baker also came to visit with them. Greg, Valerie, Crissie and Teresa Winn also enjoyed the day with all the family who were at home. Ken and Bea wonder what it would be if all the families came home at once and do enjoy their family very much. Vera Tree, Ruth Richardson and Bea Kummer drove to Salt Lake last Thursday to visit with Thelma Davies and her mother Martha Johnson. Martha has been ill for quite sometime. It was a very enjoyable evening visiting and chatting about the crew at Kimball Junction. Don Tree joined later. There is a lot of sickness and we wish a speedy recovery to Myrtle Evans, Ethel Sorenson, Clara Evans and any other friends who are ill at this time. Mrs. Hazel Post Whalen Stebins died in Sacramento, California, a sister of Kathryn Post Grose, she was born in Park City. They owned and operated the service station at the top of Main Street. She is survived by nephews Floyd Grose and Donald Stoll, Park City, neice Mrs. Glen (Georgia) Peterson of Salt Lake. She also has neices and nephews in Salt Lake and California. The Friendly 500 Club met Thursday April 27, at the home of Lil Bircumshaw hostess was Helen Statham. Winners were Thelma Burgener, Ruby Dingle, Ada Skillicorn and Lil Bircumshaw. Bircum-shaw. Light refreshments were served, all enjoying a night out. |
