The ordinance as it is drawn will not work a hardship on anyone if it is properly followed and obeyed. It is intended for the safety of all and while thus far Gunnison has escaped catastrophes, the regulations as it is at present assures no one on the streets of safety. Under the new regulations it will be necessary for car' owners or drivers driv-ers to park their cars at a certain distance dis-tance from the curbing and at an angle of 45 degrees. The cars on the west side of the street to be headed to the south, while those on the east will be pointed to the north, with the proper angle. All drivers will be required re-quired to strictly observe the proper sides of the street, those going north to keep to the east side, while south bound cars must keep on the west side. In turning corners it will be necessary to make the square turn, observing the point of turning at the intersections of the streets. There are other regulations in the ordinance ordin-ance which must be obeyed and it will be the safest for all to procure a copy of the new ordinance and become be-come familiar with the regulations, thus avoiding the humiliation of being taken before the "judge." Begin today on the observance of the new city regulation and get in the habit of conforming to it and you will assist the officers in giving us better and safer traffic. |
