i I Capture of Deserter I Charles Rice a deserter from Company H Captain Schindels command Sixth Infantry was arrested today by Deputy Marshal Sprague on Main street and brought before U S Maishal Ireland who sent him to Fort Douglas He deserted de-serted July 1st 1883 and has been knocking knock-ing about the country ever since He is of medium sizeruddy complexion blue eyes and sandy hair and about 3 years old There are many more of these deserters about the country for whom the Govern ment allows 30 each when returned The report shows less deserting the past few years than formerly I
