OCR Text	Show The Heathen Chiiicc Arc Peculiar Pecu-liar CHICAGO August 9Suspicious noises issuing from a Clark street basement late tonight led to the belief that a Chinese gambling den was in full blast A raid was made by two policemen and fifty Chinamen were arrested and taken to the Armory police po-lice station No evidences of gambling were discovered but it was believed everything every-thing portable had been suddenly concealed At the station however the celestials denied they had been gambling and said they were simply mourning death of GeneralGrant after the custom of their country
