Show gtueltell M.I.A. Hobo Party Held Tuesday The Mutual held a hobo party Tuesday evening. A prize was given to the best dressed hobo There really were some good hobos at the party, making it hard for the judges, to decide whom to give the prize to. Af-jter Af-jter much thought and consideration consider-ation the judges chose Essie Lambert, Jerry Lambert. Nona .Mathews, Slade Mathews and jPhil Mathers as the best costumed cos-tumed hobos. , , The party was held down by the gulch about a mile east of town. After an evening of merriment, merri-ment, the hobos were served mulligan stew and crackers. j A severe hailstorm a week ago Monday did much damage to crops and gardens. The to-1 matoes were damaged severely being stripped of all leaves. The storm did more damage south of town than elsewhere. Mr. and Mrs. Alva Bird are here visiting Alva's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bird. Alva is serving with the army and has been stationed in Germany. He will now be stationed somewhere some-where in the States. Miss Irene Anderson, of Magna Mag-na is here visiting her grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson An-derson and Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Hancock. I Vern Bird is home on a furlough. |
