Show Duchesne County To Receive Veterinary Service' I Definite plans are now under ! i way to provide regular veterin-I veterin-I ary service to farmers and : ranchers of Duchesne county. This is being made possible I through the efforts of the recently re-cently organized Veterinarian Committee headed by Gilbert Beebe, of Altonah, as president, and Rex Lamb, Myton, as secretary. sec-retary. Dr. Kenneth Burritt, a graduate grad-uate veterinarian from Colorado is now located in .Vernal. He i needed financial assistance to get started and it has been proposed pro-posed that the stockmen of Duchesne Du-chesne county raise a fund for this purpose. In return Dr. Burritt Bur-ritt agrees to sign a contract I to work in Duchesne county I three days a week. On the days he is here, he will charge mileage mile-age only from Roosevelt. He also will be available for emergency emer-gency calls at any time. People with livestock, who are interested in obtaining this service are asked to contribute to this fund. It is suggested that dairymen with 15 cows or over pay $10; and those with less, pay $5. Stockmen with 35 head of range stock' or over are being be-ing asked for $10, and those with less, $5.00. Payment may be made to any of the committeemen listed: Leon Burton, Talmage; Rue Miles, Mtn. Home; Gilbert Bee-be, Bee-be, Altonah; WiUard B. Me-cham, Me-cham, Mt. Emmons; Leslie B Goodrich, Bluebell; Don Field-stead, Field-stead, Roosevelt; Rex Lamb, Myton, My-ton, and John R. Lemon, Ioka. Committeemen will be appointed for the other communities within with-in the county. If this fund can be raised by July 12, regular service can be established immediately thereafter. there-after. Emergency calls may be made directly to Dr. Kenneth Burritt, Phone 197, Vernal. The county agent's office in Roosevelt, Phone 174, will accept calls for wark to be done on Dr. Bur-ritt's Bur-ritt's regular days here. |
