Show Seventy Quorum Hears CSioreh Leader M Banquet MYTON The My ton ward chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, was the scene last Friday night of a dinner-meeting sponsored by the 162nd Quorum of Seventy, Roosevelt Roos-evelt Stake, to which wives of the members, other stake missionaries mis-sionaries and the stake presidency presi-dency were special guests. Nearly Near-ly 90 attended. Addressing the first of a series ser-ies of quarterly dinner-socials was Antone R. Ivins. of Salt Lake City, member of the First Council of Seventy of the church, who discussed the duties and functions of a seventy, and admonished those present to magnify their callings an respond re-spond to the assignments that are daily being made of the "missionaries of the church." He was accompanied by his wife, Presiding over the dinner as toastmaster was Dr. Don Johnson. John-son. Other parts on the program included numbers by a male quartet composed of Ron Benson, Ben-son, Cliff Memmott, Vernon Buchanan and D, Piatt Woodland; Wood-land; piano solos by Lawrence Wilson, community singing, led by Mrs. Hollis Hullinger; and Earl Dillman entertained with a few magic tricks, Arrangements for the social were under the direction of the Quorum's Activity and Church Service committee, with Cliff Memmott as chairman. Seventies, Seven-ties, and the Relief Society of the Myton ward handled the details de-tails for the dinner and table arrangements ar-rangements and decorations. Ben Webb is the quorum activity activ-ity committeeman, and Mrs. Wil-mer Wil-mer Murray is president of the Reief Society. |
