Show F.I y ton CcupSe Injured in Oregcn Wreck . MYTON Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Vern-on Edwards, of Myton, were injured in-jured seriously last week when hey were involved in a head-on head-on collision at Bend, Oregon. The accident occurred about 8:30 a. m., Feb. 17, soon after they pulled away from a service ser-vice station. They were traveling travel-ing slowly when an on-coming automobile skidded out of control, con-trol, hitting them head on. Both cars were complete losses. Both Mr. and Mrs. Edwards are hospitalized and will be for some time. Three of their children were traveling with them at the time of the accident, acci-dent, Carol Ann. Lavon and Louise. Carol Ann and Lavon escaped injuries, but Louise had a broken right arm. All were badly shocked and shaken. Mr. Edwards is suffering from broken ribs and a punctured lung. His wife was badly cut on the face, has a fractured skull and a broken wrist. The Edwards family left here Valentine's Day for an extended vacation trip. They were on their way to visit with Mr. Edwards Ed-wards sister, Mrs. Etta Hague, who lives at Grants Pass, Oregon. Ore-gon. Mr. Edward.1;' mother, Mrs. Pearl Edwards, is also at Grants Pass, where she has been visiting visit-ing since Christmas. The condition of Mr. and Mrs. Edwards was much improved at the last report. Their family and friends wish them a speedy recovery. |
