Show gaufiett Viola Jensen Ward Conferences Held On Sunday Sunday School conference was held Sunday. Stake officers present were Superintendent Jesse Hullinger, Dwaine Buchanan Buchan-an and Max Gardner. Ward conference was held during Sacrament meeting, un-the un-the direction of the stake presidency. presi-dency. Opening prayer was by Jesse S. Brough; Mariner F. McMullen took charge of the meeting; Ward Clerk Albert Harris had all officers sustained. A special quartet from Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, composed of Dr. Vere Johnson, Melvin Peterson, Cliff Memmott and Ivan Payne, sang "I Need Thee Every Hour." Howard Ivory was the first speaker, followed by Russel Todd, and Hollis G. Hullinger, stake president, was the closiig speaker. A song, "Beautiful Saviour," was sung 'by the Singing Mothers, Moth-ers, and the closing song was by the quartet. Closing, prayer was by Lorin J. Harris. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Chandler Chand-ler and daughter, Paulette, of Price, visited recently at the home of Mrs. Ada Pickup. There were eight members of the stake organization at Relief Re-lief Society meeting Tuesday. I The following Stake Primary officers visited Primary on Wednesday Wed-nesday of last week: Mrs. Verda Campbell, Mrs. Thelma Roberts, Mrs. Gay Johnson. Mrs. Florence Flor-ence Adams and Mrs. Birtchell, all of Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon J. Lewis, Lew-is, of Sahara Village, arrived Wednesday evening to spend the week end at the home of Mrs. Lewis' parents, Mr. and Mr,?. J. E. Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon J. Lewis Lew-is visited in Duchesne Friday at the home of Mr. Lewis' parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Lewis. Mrs. Robert Pine and daughter, Gloria Jean, of Vernal, spent the day visiting with them and returned re-turned to Vernal with Mr. and Mrs. Lewis. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Brough, of Roosevelt, visited here Sunday with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Brough, of Roy, spent the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Brough. The following Primary officers offic-ers and teachers attended Stake Primary union meeting Saturday: Satur-day: Mrs. Myrl Moore, Mrs. Jewell Wall. Mrs. Zilpha Wall. Mrs. Alice Wall and Mrs. Viola Jensen. The Primary children practiced prac-ticed for their conference Sunday Sun-day afternoon. The M.I. A. group from Leota practiced its play Sunday evening eve-ning at the Randlett Chapelr Miss Marian Jensen returned to Roosevelt Sunday evening. Mrs. Roy McKee and son, Creig, are visiting in Vernal at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Har-old McKee. Mrs. Ralph Taylor and daughter, daugh-ter, Dean, went to Vernal Sunday Sun-day evening to get her husband. |
