Show Scout Leaders To Again Head Roosevelt Area James E. Bacon and George Hacking have been re-nominated to head the Boy Scout activities of the Roosevelt District until Sept. 30, 1956. Mr. Bacon will continue con-tinue as District Chairman and Mr. Hacking as District Commissioner. Commis-sioner. Paul Murphy, mayor of Roosevelt Roose-velt and vice-president of the Utah National Parks Council, served as chairman of a committee of eight who were responsible for the nominations. nom-inations. Other members included: Hollis Hullinger, Steve Bellon, Gordon Harmston, Floyd Labrum, Sharon Cummings, Cl'iff Memmott and Joseph Olpin. Selected as district vice-chairmen for the new Scouting year are: Leo Haueter of Myton, and Ray Brown of Montwel. Floyd Labrum, Joseph Olpin and Sharon Cummings were selected to continue in the assignments of the past year. Mr. Labrum is chairman chair-man of the district's organization and extension committee, Mr. Olpin Ol-pin is finance chairman, and Mr. Cummings. heads the advancement committee. Three New Chairmen Three new chairmen were added to the list. Spencer Squire is chairman chair-man of Leadership Training;. Roe McDonald, as Health and Safety chairman, and Lorin Alexander as Camping and Activities chairman. Commissioner Hacking is in the process of re-organizing his. staff of neighborhood commissioners whch will number 12 when complete. com-plete. He is responsible to "recruit and maintain a staff of commissioners commis-sioners to serve all Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Explorer units in his district."
