Show Parents' Day Set At Local Schools Parents' Days for the Elementary Elemen-tary and Junior High Schools have been set by the P-TA in connection with National Education Educa-tion Week, which is from November No-vember 9 to November 15. In order not to run the parents' visiting days too close for people peo-ple who have children in both schools, the Elementary School has chosen Friday, November 1 nrH tho -Tuninr TTitfh Rfhnnl will have the following Friday. November 14, as Parents' Days. Proving more successful every year since being introduced into the schools. Parents' Days provide pro-vide a wonderful opportunity for parents to investigate and visit the schools and to observe just how classes function and what their children are doing. Many problems have been solved solv-ed by this relationship between parents and teachers. This is one day of the year that the children stay home and let their parents attend school, so, parents, please check the above dates on your calendars and make visiting school a must. The second regular P-TA meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Wednes-day, November 5, at the Elementary Ele-mentary School, at which time a health and safety program will be given under the direction of Mrs. Howard Harrison, program pro-gram chairman. Roe McDonald, member of the health and safety committee, will be responsible for securing some top-notch safety films to be shown that night. According to Mrs. Cliff Mem-mott, Mem-mott, president, several important impor-tant P-TA matters will be discussed dis-cussed at the meeting. All parents par-ents and teachers are urged to be in attendance. |
