Show E!ome Demonstration Agent Assumes Duties On October 13; Fills Five-Year Vacancy In County After being without the services ser-vices of a home demonstration agent for five years. Miss Mary Lou Reichert, of Salt Lake City, arrived in Duchesne County on Monday of this week to fill the vacancy. The Duchesne County Board of Commissioners recently approved ap-proved the appointmemt of a successor to Miss Berniece Pal-freyman, Pal-freyman, who resigned her position po-sition here to go to San Pete County, where she is still employed. em-ployed. . A resident of Salt Lake City. Mis? Reichert is a graduate of the University of Utah, class of '52, where she majored in home economics, specializing in foods and nutrition. She is the daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius C. I Reichert. She will work very closely with various - women's organizations organi-zations in the county and will aid 4-H Club work. She and County Agent Louis Jensen will occupy the same office in the Frandsen Apartment building in Roosevelt, and their work will be closely correlated. Her appointment was effective effec-tive October 13. However, she spent last week at the Utah State Agricultural College .in Logan attending the leadership classes for women, which were attended by four women from Duchesne County. Miss Reichert is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of LatUr-day Saints, and has been a Sunday School teacher teach-er and secretary in the Y W M I A.. She is living at the Laris Motor Lodge. |
