Show Ma Mrs. Violet Oeotry Mrs. Bertha Angus Start Drilling For New Oil Well The Sinclair Oil Co. Monday began operations which might in a relatively short time produce pro-duce an oil well very close to our community, as thev erected a 140-foot derrick on the Senor Mortensen farm. It was quite a sight to see the huge rig raised all in one piece. A lot of activity was seen about the Mortensen farm, which is located on North Myton Bench. Dr. Carl Woolsey. of Salt Lake City, Senor Mortensen, Sr , and Jack NieLson, of Myton,, left bright and early Monday morning morn-ing on the big deer hunt. Mrs. Edmund Webb and son, Arnold, were Salt Lake visitors Thursday. Mrs. F. H. Story left Tuesday for her home in Crestline, Calif., after a short visit with her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. W. G. Gentry. Mrs. Beulah Bracken and children, of Roosevelt, spent Sunday afternoon with her parents. par-ents. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Per-cival. Per-cival. Ira Cannon, of Salt Lake City, called on Mr. and Mrs. James Lemon Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Tuff Reay visited vis-ited in Altonah Sunday. Virginia Mathison and her sister, Mary Ann, of Myton, visited vis-ited their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Reid Lemon. Friday. Mrs. J. A. Angus and daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Orie Cook, were Duchesne Du-chesne visitors last week. Mrs. Virgil Ferguson and children chil-dren returned home on Sunday of last week from a three or four months stay in Tooele James Lemon and Russel Rob-ison Rob-ison brought their cattle home off the range last week. John Fauseit, who' is home on a furlough, left Monday for a deer hunt. Louise Gentry entertained several of her friends at a wein-er wein-er roast at her home Saturday night. Enjoying the event were Wanda Sprouse, Gloria Riding, Alice Glines. Joan Creech. Joan Alexander, Mary Rudy and Neala Schaefermeyer, all of Roosevelt. ENTERTAIN MOTHERS The three Home Builder Primary Pri-mary groups, with their leaders, Eliza Robison, Dorthv Stone, and Arevilla Lemon, entertained their mothers and fathers at the ward house Monday night. A program was presented and refreshments re-freshments were served. Girls present were EaVett" Percival, Joice Zobell. . Glena Dart, Kay Warr, Loya Lemon, Geniel Lemon and Kathy Reay. Mr. and Mrs. Don Strong and son, of Salt Lake City, were here to join in the deer hunt. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Webb and children and Mrs. Etta Webb visited in Provo Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Hunter. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wal-quist Wal-quist and son and Grace Robison, Robi-son, of Randlett, visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Benson. Ben-son. Mrs. Walquist (Colene) and Grace Robison are . Mrs. Benson's Ben-son's granddaughters. Mr. and Mrs. Walquist are moving to Washington soon. Mr. and Mrs. Gam Lloyd and son, of Murray, and Audra Baird, of Heber, were weekend visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Lloyd. Mrs. LaRue Burgess and her three daughters, of Myton. visited vis-ited Sunday with Mrs. Gentry and Mrs. Angus. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Benson are visiting in St. George and Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Ariel Mitchie report a pleasant trip to Los Angeles, California. Jack Angus, of Draper, visited Saturday with his grandmother. Mrs. John Angus. Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Hunter 1 and children, of Provo. came ! Friday to visit with Mrs. Hunter's Hunt-er's parents. Mr. Hunter hunted deer while here.
