Provo. and Paul Foote 'of ioka, He is rated as- a superior sire by . the American Jersey Cattle Club', with 10 test e d , -daughters,' averaging 12,183 Ibsj of milk, and 626 lbs. of butter fat. He is -.a ;prpven sire, which means that records have been made by his daughters and compared com-pared with the production of their dams. The average on 6 daughters compared with their dams, shows an increase of 83 jibs, of abutter 'fat, This is an outstanding., out-standing., record.' r Calves can .be. obtained from the .outstanding . sire- through artificial.-breeding. ,-, Albert ,K. Barlow., of Bluebell, Blue-bell, '-had- the highest producing herd : ire Duchesne County on Dairy Herd Improvement testing test-ing for the month of September. His' herd averaged 34 lbs. butter fat per cow for, the month. Rama,.. owned by Paul Foote of Ioka, made the highest individual in-dividual record, for September, with 80 lbs. butter fat for the month. Tracy has proclaimed the closing clos-ing of wells diverting water from underground sources begin-jning begin-jning with November 1. 1952. and ending April 1, 1953, as provided .by law. AH persons owning, or having control of ariv artesian or pump well, or wells in this state are required to close, by . plug, cap, valve, or other mechanical device or by repairs,, all wells except those providing water for beneficial use. Benificial use during the above period does not include irrigation. It- is also provided that modification modif-ication of said ORDER may be granted upon showing to the State- Engineer that a compliance com-pliance .therewith will cause partial or complete failure of the well. The closing season of underground under-ground water has been proclaimed pro-claimed in the intrest of conserving conserv-ing the underground water isuppiyjand to provide a maximum maxi-mum quantity for the next year's use. v ! 'As-a result of last year's CLOSING ORDER there was, made available during the past season additional water which materially helped to maturo crops. Strict obedience to this CLOSING ORDER will further increase the supply.'
